New Years Eve
Well for New Years Eve I went down to the Pioneer Corps in Philly. I went down with Tabitha, Seth and Evan. We got there really fast and early to help set it all up. I met loads of awesome people in the process of setting up which was cool.. Then 7 o'clock came around and it was time for some worship. For TWELVE HOURS STRAIGHT we praised and worshiped God. It was absolutely amazing!! There were two short messages during the night..and they were both great! The main theme for the evening was the river of God and it focused around this verse.
Psalm 46:4, There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells.
There was a point during the night oh about 2 in the morning when there was a lull and people started to fall alseep and go outside and stuff...ofcoarse there were the 5 of us who never stopped :) anyway one of the leaders Mary said that she thinks we need to get back on track and she was right. We got close together all sitting on the floor and began to pray. It was an amazing time. It changed my life!! It made me realize how far I have drifted away from God and He told me my flaws and it was very clear. We prayed and prayed. I left with a changed heart, mind and soul. It was amazing! PRAISE GOD!
At about 4 or 5 in the morning there were maybe twenty people left and we started talking about what the verse ment to us.
This is how Erin Burgmayer described it..."There IS a river." no questions. there is. "Whose streams make glad." so the river makes us glad. "the city of God." the river makes not only us, but the whole city of God glad. "The holy place where the Most High dwells." this is my favorite part. If we are immersed in the water. the water is the holy place where the Lord's presence dwells! So the deeper we are in the river of God, The more in His presence we are."
How amazing is that!
YES! Finally got some pics up! ...I hope this made sense! hahaha

great to hear of the outpournig of the Holy Spirit. I am glad God re-energized you and so many others. Now what has He called you to? What is the mission that God has for this band of revolutionary Christians who met on New Year's eve?

I can't think of a better way to enter the New Year than worshipping the Lord with good friends! Looks like you had a great time.

What has He called us to do? To spread the fire that is within us all..it's kinda like a chain reaction..You see if the 60 (give or take a little) of us who went were changed then we go out into the world with the love of God and people see that something is different about us and we tell them about the love of God. Not only for the non christians but also christians like me need to hear it all again sometimes. The worst thing to do would be to keep it to ourselves!!!!! It's a very simple answer but can be really powerful!
I hope this makes sense.. It's been a long day!

Jason Collier wrote this. He would have commented himself but it wasn't working.....
ok...
here it comes...
you ready....?
SPREAD IT!
we've got it... "the lord has annointed you to preach freedom to the captives"!
we've got God's annointing...
and now we have to SPREAD IT!
go out. get something started... be creative (or pull out some old things)
just SPREAD IT!!!

Oh, it makes sense, honey! :) Now, flow in the river, move in the river, take others to the river: some will need washed, some will need to be refreshed---all will need to drink. This river is living water, that flows out of you who believe. Do not be discouraged by some who prefer to live on dry land, just love 'em 'cause they are just plain scared of the water! Some will stick a pinky toe in; others will jump head-first. All in some way are like the sea lion, stranded on a hill, longing for the sea.
Love ya!
