update
Well this post is for Mrs.Bate! :)
So far my weekend has been very interesting....
After freezing like crazy at Seth's night football game, Me Stephen, Karla and Kia went to blockbuster to rent some movies...We were looking around forever trying to pick out something that we all haven't seen before...Stephen, being the odd person he is decided to look at the foreign films...he came across a film called the unnamed man or the man without a name, something like that I can't remember..anyway, the cover of it was a Salvation Army officer..It was made in Finland a long time ago..the uniforms so where authentic! Anyway, the story is about a man who gets mugged in a park and forgets his entire past. He meets this female officer and falls in love with her...It was soo funny though...they would have like a soup kitchen in the middle of the road and there was an army band that consisted of a banjo, guitar, stand up bass, and snare drum! It was soo cool....The main guy started helping in the army like at the thrift store and he suggested that the band change it's style of music because the people weren't very affected by it.. so they decided to make up some christian rock and roll songs and sure enough people started listening to them and dancing and enjoying themselves..I thought that was interesting! Then today we watched a movie made by MTV called The Perfect Score..it was about stealing the SAT's so that they could go to good schools and stuff..that wasn't that good...but whatever...
So tonight I went to CVS on my way home because I needed to get some stuff for a project..I went to the cash register and there was a guy working the register, probably 19-20 years old. Anyway he asked how I was..and I was like good thanks and you and he starts talking to me saying that lastnight he had a bad night and that he was at a party and one of his friends overdosed on something and ended up in the hospital and that the cops came and broke up the party and I was like oh man thats awful, are u ok? and he was like yeah, I didn't get caught or in trouble or anything but it was so much drama and he was saying that he would have rather been working...I felt really bad for him, he seemed kinda scared. So by the time he finished telling me the story my stuffed was all bagged and I said well I hope you have a good night...and I left. As soon as I got in the car I thought to myself how much of an opportunity that was and how I missed it..I could have told him that that's why I don't drink or do drugs..I could have told him that I would pray for him and his friend..I COULD HAVE done allot of things but I didn't...I chickened out and left...I regret it..I feel bad..I could have helped him...
